Playlist: The Fourth Trimester
Songs that Stevie likes, songs that I sing to her as lullabies, songs that I’ve had on repeat for the last three months as I’ve navigated this tender, difficult, and beautiful time as a new mom. This playlist is equal parts tunes for babies and tunes for the grown; a happy and nostalgic mix of old-timers and new-comers to keep things cozy but fresh. Best served up in the morning to gently get you moving into the day, during an afternoon rest with your feet up on the coffee table, or as your day winds down at dusk and you find yourself swaying with a baby in your arms, once again.
Tasting Notes:
The first sip of coffee
Feathery-soft baby hairs
A smile that crinkles the corner of your eyes
Cedarwood and lavender
A golden heart locket
Tiny, wiggling toes
Sitting on a patchwork quilt in the grass

If you’re looking for a lullaby, try “In My Life,” “Einstein’s Idea,” or “Soft On Me.” Need something to go with your evening glass of wine (or two)? Click play on “There Can Only Be One” or “Moonlight Mile.” Also recommended: press shuffle and make sure your autoplay setting is turned on (you can do this through your settings); Spotify will keep the music going with similar-sounding tunes when the playlist runs out.
P.S. I’ll most likely continue to add to this playlist through the end of the month, so be sure to press the “Follow” button in Spotify to stay updated!
